Since the beginning of the year this has come miniature reflex camera with a considerable improvement in the viewfinder elements on the world market.
The camera has a Shuttertime of 1-1/500 sec. in the international times as well as one for mirror pre-triggering and an automatic blank faceplate.
The Kamera Werkstätten Dresden this one was sold to manufactured Praktica FX row in over 48 countries of the earth to 1958 approx. 200.000 pices and therefore represents one of the most successful camerae of the fifties of.

The FX 2/3 derivates demonstrates a new coverage type of the waist-level view finder as well as the establishment of the internal aperture release for lenses with automatic diaphragm operation or manually tensioned automatic diaphragm.
The basic model were denoted as "Praktica". In the manuals the camera were designated as "Modell III" or "FX 2". Because of a declination of this name the first variation receive the name "Praktica FX 2". The FX 2 were presented at the Leipzig'er Spring Fair in 1956.
At this time the production for the company Porst, from Nürnberg, started with under the designation "Porst reflex FX2".
The further development of the FX 2/3-line leads to the internal aperture release for lenses with automatic diaphragm operation or manually tensioned automatic diaphragm. Also the F-contact were reintegrated as a second coaxial flash socket in this model which were presented at the Leipzig'er Autumn Fair in 1956 (FX2, 1st variation).
For export of this models the cameras were renamed to "Praktica FX3".
In 1958 the last modification of this camera line were induced by a modification of the Flashbulbs which were released by the F-synchronisation. Hitherto this time were adjusted to 10 milliseconds before start of exposure. Hence this point were relocated to 10 milliseconds before complete shutter release.
All cameras with this modification were designated as "Praktica F.X 2", and rare as "Praktica FX 2.".
For export version of the camera the were named analogous as "Praktica F.X 3.

이것은 구 동독의 Kamera-Werke 에서 만든 카메라로써, Praktica FX 의 후기 모델인,
Praktica FX3 이며, 35mm 카메라인데도 불구하고, 중형 카메라들처럼, 선명하고 시원하게
탁트인, 웨이스트레벨(Waist-Level) 파인더를 장착하고있는 매력적인 카메라이다.
마치 디카의 커다란 액정을 연상시키며, 뒷부분의 버튼을 누르면, 파인더 쉐이드가 열린다.

Praktica FX2 와 FX3 는 구조적/외관상 모두 동일한 기기이며, 표기만 다를뿐이다.
FX2 는 내수, FX3는 수출용 모델로써, 생산지가 같으므로, 두 기종간의 특별한 의미는 없다.


1956 ~ 1958년간의 짧은 기간동안, 총 25,790 대의 비교적 소량으로 생산된 카메라이기
때문에, 구하기가 상당히 어렵고, 특히 셔터막 구조가 특이한데, 천으로된 셔터막 2장이
양쪽에서 달려와서 닫히는 가로주행막 형식이다.

기종 자체가 희귀할뿐더러, 이러한 특이한 셔터막 구조와 더불어, 내부 기어에 윤활유가
굳어, 셔터막이 제대로 작동되는 것을 구하기는 더 어렵다.
상태가 A ~ A- 급 정도는 해외에서도 한화 30~40만원 이상의 다소 높은 가격에 거래된다.


전 모델인 Praktica FX 와 아주 유사하며, 차이점은 파인더가 개선되어, 매그니파이어(Magni
-fier) 와 스크린을 쉽게 청소할수있게 만들어졌고, 파인더 쉐이드(Finder-Shade) 덮개를 개방하
고, 뒤에 장착 되어있는, 프레임파인더(Frame-Finder)를 올려서도, 손쉽게 찍을수 있게 되었다.

또한, 주로 플라스틱으로 이루어졌던, 필름실의 필름이송 톱니부분을 전부 튼튼한 알루미늄
금속부품으로 교체되었으며, Flash Sync 단자가 3접점에서 2접점으로 바뀌었다.


렌즈는 Praktica FX 때는, Jena Tessar 혹은 Meyer-Optik 이나 Isco gottingen 의 Manual 방식 렌즈들
을 번들로 선택할수 있게 했으나, FX3 에서는 대부분 Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm/f2.8 로,
Preset 방식 렌즈를 사용하게 되었다.

서독의 Zeiss 와의 상표 분쟁으로 간혹 C.Z Jena 라고 적힌것들도 있고, T 코팅이 되어있는데도
아무런 표기가 안되어 있는 것들도 있다. 무코팅 Tessar 의 경우도 렌즈 원석 자체가 좋기때문
에 최대 개방시 렌즈 플레어 정도나 색감은 거의동일하며, 다만, 콘트라스트가 T 코팅렌즈
보다 약간낮다.
